This Gallant weapon looks and functions similarly to its Galil ancestor, but the Gallant comes with a unique improvement. The original Galil rifle has a free-floating firing pin within the bolt body, which is fine for military use when using hard primer ammunition but may cause issues with soft primer commercial ammunition. The Gallant rifle has addressed this possible issue by incorporating a spring-loaded firing pin inside the bolt. These have performed well in lengthy testing and significantly lessen the possibility of unintentional slam fire.

The Vepr rifles’ RPK-style barrels are hammer forged and chrome lined with processes that make them four to five times stronger than a typical AK barrel, giving them a significantly longer service life than AK-style rifles.
The Galil-style side-folding butt stocks and receiver-mounted safety levers are standard on all rifles. The rifles also have a brand new 18″ barrel with a 1 in 9 twist made in the United States. This is the proper twist rate for this barrel weight and length, and these rifles have shown to be quite accurate while handling a wide range of bullet weights. The original muzzle brake/compensator is also included in the Gallant.barrel to lessen recoil and upward muzzle climb. All rifles include a Phoenix Technologies ergonomically improved pistol grip, making this gun incredibly pleasant to shoot.

More information on the Gallant Rifle – Our Gallant rifles are chambered in 5.56 Nato, just like the original Galil ( 5.56 x 45 ). They have the original all-steel side-folding buttstock, which is secure in both the folded and extended positions.
The original long-stroke ( AK type ) piston-driven gas system, which is full-auto rated and has proven to be one of the most reliable operating systems in the world, is also included in the rifles. The receivers are composed of 4140 tool steel billets that have been thoroughly heat-treated, polished, and then precisely blued to a lovely semi-gloss colour.
These receivers are dimensionally identical to the original Galil receivers, including the slot carved into the forward left-hand side of the receiver for the Israeli side rail scope mount. A stunning and distinctive Sword Through Star Of David insignia is also featured on each Gallant receiver, paying honor to the tremendous tradition that these excellent rifles represent.

Both the original Galil safety lever on the right side of the receiver and the safety thumb selector switch above the pistol grip on the left side of the receiver are functioning on the Gallant.
The original Galil sight system, which consists of a post front sight and a selectable dual aperture rear peep sight, is standard on all Gallant rifles. A 30 round Tapco magazine is included, as well as a 35 round Israeli surplus magazine. The folding stock is a little tight out of the box and will need to be broken in. What a beautiful weapon! Will ship to any location in the United States.
The GP WASR-10/63 was made with the same freshly designed single-stack receiver and chrome-lined barrel as the GP WASR-10, and the two versions have a similar appearance. All parts of the GP WASR-10/63 (save the receiver and barrel) come from a former Romanian military rifle, whereas the GP WASR-10 was manufactured with new parts.
