A sharp single action trigger with an over trip stop is used. It has an ambidextrous thumb-activated safety lever. After the last shot, the slide locks back in place, and a manual slide lock lever is also included. The frame is made of 7075 aluminum, while the slide and barrel are made of 4140 steel. Glass reinforced nylon is used for the grip, slide cover, trigger, mag release, and safety levers (Zytel).
