This is a 7.62×39 Norinco SKS with all matching parts, including the stock. This SKS is in excellent condition and would make an excellent shooter. Sergei Gavrilovich Simonov invented the SKS, a semi-automatic carbine chambered for the 7.6239mm round, in 1943. The SKS is a reliable, simple-to-use, and relatively inexpensive weapon that was developed in the Soviet Union but later exported and manufactured by a number of countries. A permanently attached folding bayonet and a hinged, fixed 10-round magazine are among its defining featuress.
